When I was a little girl, I loved playing dress-up, especially for Halloween. It was a way to express creativity and don a new persona for a few hours. My mother and I would admire the gowns on televised beauty contests. My Barbie doll had at least twenty pairs of high-heeled shoes.
Today, in addition to my faith and photography, one of my joys in life is accessorizing my outfits. My tribe consists of people strutting their stuff in costumes, uniforms, finery, and cultural attire and participants in performances, parades, historical reenactments/fairs, and costumed conventions.
