Abstracts

As a child, I enjoyed spotting people, animals and objects in cloud formations. It was a creative pursuit with no wrong answers. Interpreting abstracts is similar only there are more colors, shapes and textures to look at. I like abstracts because the subjects are usually hard to

identify. This makes me curious and coaxes me to make up stories about what I see. For me, lively colors, high-contrast (e.g., extreme black and white) and bold graphic shapes are exciting. A profusion of embellishments and textures make me curious. Gradients, neutral colors and pastels soothe me.
